5 out of 5 stars Just the beggining and he has a few well known friends   August 29, 2008

Mutlu, never heard of him. Turns out he can be heard backing up many of today's pop artists on their current CD. A music review led me to sample a cut of his work from his first national label CD. Buy it! A more than pleasant surprise. All songs are his with some back-up singing by the likes of Daryl Hall and Sharon Little. I like every track which is a rariety for me. It will stay in my car 10 CD player for some time.
This guy is a great story teller.

5 out of 5 stars Lovin' It!   August 14, 2008

This album was my first hearing of Mutlu, but he was worth the wait. He's got some great guests on this CD though the songs he does alone are just as strong if not the highlights. The entire thing makes you bob your head while still delivering some strong need-to-hear lyrics and a good soft groove. I'll for sure be first in line to get whatever he does next. Lovin' it a lot!

5 out of 5 stars What a voice   August 10, 2008
Rice Krisper (PA, USA)
This cat can sing...and write. No one has made an album like this a in long while...a great mix of styles with that sweet voice bringing it all together...who is this guy, and how did he get all those talented folks to duet with him? G. Love's harmonica soars. Killer last verse. Raheem DeVaughn...whew. And Mr Daryl Hall. Hall & Mutlu. H&M. Don't miss this one.

5 out of 5 stars Smooth and soulful!   August 3, 2008

Mutlu's "Livin' It" album is a refreshing mix of hip-hop, soul, and acoustic guitars. His vocals are smooth and soulful and his lyrics send out nothing but positive vibes. Just check out "See What It Brings" feat. Daryl Hall and "Upside." This man is a truly gifted singer/songwriter and will definitely make Philly proud!!

5 out of 5 stars I love every song!   July 29, 2008

Man, this is a great album. Mutlu's vocals and music are awesome, and I love that my other favorites like G. Love, Amos Lee, and Daryl Hall are on this album too. All the tracks are great, especially "Hello Morning" and the title track. I do not regret this purchase at all!!!!
